Our Teachers are what makes Seedlings so special.
Tracy, Director, Co-Founder of Seedlings
Tracy Pechette co-founded Seedlings in 2012, along with Alice Chiu, following her life-long passion of working with children. She brings her degree in psychology and experience in early childhood education, along with her desire to help preschool children connect with the world around them and contribute to their growth. She feels as much joy working with the children today as she did 12 years ago, when Seedlings first opened.
Alice, Co-Founder of Seedlings
Alice is a dedicated pediatric occupational therapist with a passion for supporting children. With a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, she combines her expertise to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families.
As the Founder of Seedlings, Alice is committed to creating a nurturing environment for growth and development.
John, Head Teacher (Threes-Fours), Science Teacher (Twos, Threes-Fours)
John holds a Master’s Degree in Education, and has been teaching at Seedlings for 10 years. Prior to Seedlings, John worked with 2 and 3-year-olds with ASD. He is also trained in ABA therapy.
A father to three young children of his own, John has a deep appreciation for science and loves to develop lessons and activities centered on animals, weather, tornadoes, and more.
He also loves reading, singing, art, and having fun - indoors and out!
Lori, Head Teacher (Twos)
Lori has a Bachelor’s in Nursery - 6th Grade Education and a Masters in Teaching Reading. She has been a vital part of developing and teaching the Twos’ curriculum at Seedlings. She loves reading, dancing and laughing with the children and is also a puppet extraordinaire!
Tinita, Teacher (Twos)
Tinita brings a business degree, a LOT of love for both children and art, and her incredible smile and warmth to Seedlings, where she has been welcoming children into the classroom every day for the past 11 years. She can usually be found surrounded by children, supporting and encouraging them to explore and create.
Rachel, Teaching Assistant (Twos, Threes-Fours)
Rachel holds an undergraduate degree in business management, driven by a commitment to prioritize the well-being of our planet and people. Her love of working with children began with babysitting in high school, and continued in college where she worked as a volunteer tutor at a low-income elementary school. Approaching her first anniversary at Seedlings, Rachel’s favorite activities involve engaging students in sensory activities that spark their imagination and curiosity about the world around them.
